Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines, such as those found in Generators, Brush Beasts, Jetter’s, Sewer machines & Sewer Cameras and other small motorized equipment. The Small Engine Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that equipment is in excellent working condition, delivering high-quality service to customers, and supporting our commitment to safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair small engine problems in a variety of equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, air filter cleaning, and carburetor adjustments.
- Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble engines and related components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
- Ensure that all work is completed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
- Keep tools and work area clean and organized.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in small engine repair.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in small engine repair preferred.
- Previous experience working with small engines, preferably in a mechanic role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in small engine repair.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
